You Know Your Married When You Get A Cute Little Fat Belly, By The Way This Is Me Being Serious

Its not funny when your lil brother starts to point out your becoming a lil plum so I've come to the conclusion that I've gained some rather unwanted weight...the sad thing about it is that I complain to my friend at work and even Mr. O to which he seems to reply every time just go to the gym and work out, but i cant even be bothered anymore lets say how i would be bothered, in shock and mostly disgusted at myself 5 years ago. I really don't have the time anymore, or I'm just getting too old and too lazy to do anything about it.

The whole cute little fat belly thing is actually true, it kinda looks weird at first but now it totally looks adorable:P...and the being married being related to weight gain I've seen cases where its actually true to a point you feel nauseous! and think hold up i don't remember you being this big before you got hitched and its a damn shame lol!

I must admit I have been eating unhealthy things lately though i do have balanced diet, I do sometimes give into temptations and i mean anything with chocolate in it...a very bad habit i have is eating any kinda chocolate at home or work, the bad thing is that chocolate is around us at work and we sometimes get so stressed out that chocolate is the only way out. I once blamed it on our chef at work that he puts something in our food and refused to eat anything he made in a polite way but when we recently got a new chef the whole putting some sorta fattening product in the food didn't change and I've been gaining weight regardless...Thank God my mum is rather strict on us when it comes to chocolates and cakes and only buys it once in a while though her teramisu is dangerously delicious and fattening when she makes it every couple of months so i guess that makes up whatever was missing a couple of months before.

Though I've been told the weight looks good on me, its quiet flattering i don't feel like myself and something serious has to be done about it, no more running to chocolates and tea mid afternoon or food's filled with fatty cheese no matter how tempting it is, also to get myself to the gym and tone myself up.

Therefore it is necessary to ensure that my physical body is kept healthy so that the soul and spirit may also remain healthy thus in turn aiding the believer in the service of both his spiritual and material attainment. Diet therefore, plays an important role for this purpose. For this reason Islam has prohibited certain foods due to their ill effects and permitted all other pure, good and clean food products. Allah Ta’ala says in the Qur’an and I hope to follow it with more concentration.

Similarly there are verses which cover the whole range of fruits, salads, and vegetables which also play an important role in a nutritious, balanced diet:

“It is He who sends down rain from the sky, and with it We bring forth vegetation of all kinds, and out of it We bring forth thick clustered grain. And out of the date palm and its spate come clusters of dates hanging low and near, and gardens of grapes, olives and pomegranates each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety and taste). Look at their fruits when then begin to bear, and the ripeness thereof.” (6:99)

Its weird how common this happens, and I'm not specifically sure what the reason really is.

One thing for certain is that it doesn't happen to all married couples. Even though my dad gained weight after getting married, my mum seems as fit as she always has been. :)

keep it under control when you start having babies and stuff you will get the access and that one is hard to shift.................i sadly have a resident jelly belly of almost 16yrs now......i went from a size 6-8 pre marriage and just 10 months late i had almost tripped my body mass. I was devastated. I still am :( alhamduilah. All i am saying its hard to shift..needs lots of hard work and if a Muslim women's gym is involved then money too! Looking back now, i wish i had been able to take better care of that belly as now i don't ever see it being flat again :(. We are grown old each day so don't speed up the process, a young bride like yourself , enjoy the prime time in life and keep trim hun . Wise words from one who know's ukti!

Salaam Mina :)!
Well,I don't know what to say, because even though I read quite a few times that people tend to gain weight after they get married,I've never really seen it on my friends.Except for a friend who had a baby about a year ago. She's always been a little more curvy!Well, she looks even now very good.
What helps to me when I want to be more strict about my diet is talking to myself.I try to be positive and think...hey girl you want to look good in that outfit.
You'll be fine, just find your dieting routine :).
Kiss,kiss...

Rainbow in the grey sky - I know what you mean sis...even my mum she was slimmer then me before she got married and even when she had babies its just recently when she was diagnosed with diabetes she gained alot of weight...all i have to do is control my diet and start exercising again Jazakallahu khairun for the adivice sis, its much appreiciated habibti:)
